A lifelong tech enthusiast, computer engineer, holds a diploma in Neuroscience, as well as doing a PhD in Computer Science and Telecommunications. Much of his studies have focused on Artificial Intelligence and Collaborative Systems, and has enjoyed a career in Computer Security.

Having spent years of his youth happily immersed in the world of coding, idolising super-hackers such as Kevin Mitnick, Carlos knew from a young age that his passion and talents intersected within the sphere of tech and art. With a vision in mind and a determined spirit, he set out on a path to make his life’s passion his life’s work.

Carlos soon experienced the joy and inspiration of interacting with and developing a genuine rapport with an idol, meeting, partnering and befriending legendary hacker Kevin Mitnick. This budding friendship soon turned into a working relationship, and the pair worked together to build new platforms.

During this time, Carlos, as a white-hat hacker, developed an innate ability to write non-nefarious computer viruses as a form of art and to advance computer security - techniques that were instrumental in defining his ethos of people empowerment and system security, combining them with AI mechanisms.

Carlos has always recognised the role that computers and technology can play in improving human relations, and seized the opportunity to launch Olyverse, a metaverse for a new way of content creation and consumption, interactions and experiences on a new Internet based in blockchain technology, alongside world renowned computer security guru Kevin Mitnick, along with co-founder Jan Aramburu and former FC Barcelona stars Carles Puyol, Andrés Iniesta and Iván de la Peña.

With a shared ambition, the co-founders wanted to be at the cutting edge of fintech, creating a star-studded bridge between web3, virtual reality and mainstream spheres, to help build the new Internet.
